Pelješac abounds in natural beauty, historical sites, lovely sandy and pebble beaches, great red wine and seafood, especially in oysters and other shellfish. It is also becoming an increasingly popular destination because of trending sport activities such as cycling, hiking or wind and kitesurfing.
The Oyster Festival is a perfect opportunity to enjoy these one-of-a-kind shellfish as well as other local specialties prepared by the producers themselves. Traditionally, the tasting of oysters and wines will take place on the feast of St. Jospeh in at the seafront in Mali Ston on 18 March 2018 starting at 11am.
Welcome to Croatia! We will pick you up at the airport. Depending on your time of arrival, you will be either going directly to check-in to your accommodation or enjoying one of the activities we have prepared for you. On the way to Pelješac peninsula you will have a chance to explore the Old CIty of Dubrovnik and the Arboretum Trsteno.
During the morning, you will visit Đido’s fish and shell farm. You will see how a familly farm that provides the best restorants in southern Dalmatia functions. Once there, you will see oysters, mussles, sea bass, sea bream as well as an underwater cellar where some of the best sorts of croatian sparkling wines are stored. Your day will continue at the Oyster’s festival where you will have lunch, prepared by local fishermen and farmers. On the menu are traditional sea dishes of all sorts.
After the festival you can enjoy jour well deserved vacation. Choose your activities for the day and reward yourself with some of the best local products of the region. Visit Montenegro or Bosnia and Herzegovina, taste the best wines from the region or enjoy the evening on one of the family farms, the choice is yours.
