Every day, you will have a half-day trip somewhere in the vicinity, but you will also have time to explore Zagreb and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this vibrant and cultural city which is made for strolling. With interesting day and half day trips to the region at your disposal, you can easily turn a 4-day visit into an unforgettable week-long holiday.
Upon your arrival, our expert local guides will give you a tour of the city so that later, you can easily stroll through the city and find your own places of interest with ease. Every other day will bring something new and different through your exploration of the region so that you can see much more than just the city itself.
Zagreb, Ljubljana, Pula, Trieste
Welcome to Zagreb! We will welcome you at the place of your arrival and transfer you to your accommodation. You will spend your day enjoying Zagreb and experiencing the unique and easy way of life. On a private guided sightseeing tour, you will get to know its lovely streets, interesting traditions and charming restaurants that make it the perfect place for your vacation.
After breakfast and coffee, we will take you to Podravina, a region located north-west of Zagreb, where you will visit a family farm and try local delicacies made only from fresh, local ingredients. After your lunch on the family farm, you will go to a wine tasting, and try the best wines of the region. After the wine tasting, we will take you back to Zagreb to enjoy and relax for the rest of your day.
You can’t visit Croatia and not see its most popular tourist attraction – the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park is world famous for its 16 turquoise lakes arranged in cascades and connected with magnificent waterfalls. It also has the largest waterfall in Croatia, with a height of 78 meters. On your way to Plitvice, you will visit Rastoke, a small historic village known for its well-preserved mills and the picturesque little waterfalls along the Slunjčica River, which flows into the river Korana at this place.
Depending on the time of your departure, various activities can be organized. If you do not want any activities on this day, you can take a walk through Maksimir, an 18th-century park which houses the Zagreb city ZOO or go for a ride on the funicular and experience the traditional market in the city center.
In these two days, you will visit Motovun where you will participate in a truffle hunt. The local guides will tell you everything there is to know about truffles, the tradition of truffle hunting, and their specialized truffle hunting dogs. You will also try various products made of truffles and enjoy a wonderful lunch in a special atmosphere. After the truffle hunt, you will have free time to explore the Istrian hinterland or the coast. On the second day, you will visit a local winemaker, and have a wine-tasting overlooking the vineyards, and have a guided tour of the winery and get to know the winemaking process. If you should wish to visit more winemakers we will gladly organize it so. The rest of the day will be free of activities, but of course, we will give you recommendations on what to do.
In the morning hours, you will head towards Postojnska Cave – the biggest and most beautiful cave system in Slovenia. The guided tour of the cave starts in a small train which will take you through a big part of this magnificent cave system, after which you will continue your tour on foot. After the tour, you will head towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, where you will have a guided tour of this charming city. The next day after exploring Ljubljana, you will head towards Bled. With its emerald-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke as backdrops, Bled is Slovenia’s most popular resort. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this romantic and fairy-tale place.
